12 × 1,500 m³ duplex rvs storage tanks successfully delivered
Gpi Tanks XL has successfully completed the on site construction and installation of 12 large scale storage tanks at SEA Tank Terminal in Ghent, Belgium.
The project consisted of the engineering, fabrication and on site assembly of twelve 1,500 m³ storage tanks, resulting in a total storage capacity of 18,000 m³ for terminal storage applications.
All tanks were constructed entirely on location in accordance with API 650 and manufactured from duplex rvs 1.4362 (DX 2304), a material selected for its excellent combination of corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and cost efficiency.
Large scale on site tank construction
Due to the dimensions and storage capacity of the tanks, the complete construction process was carried out on site at the terminal. This approach eliminates transport limitations and allows efficient integration within the existing terminal infrastructure.
The successful realization of this project demonstrates Gpi Tanks XL’s expertise in large scale tank construction, duplex rvs fabrication and complex on site execution for the storage and process industry.
Throughout all phases of the project, from engineering and production to installation and final delivery, close collaboration between all involved parties played an important role in achieving a safe and efficient execution.
Successful completion of the installation phase
With all 12 tanks fully installed and completed, the project marks an important milestone for both SEA Tank Terminal and Gpi Tanks XL.
We would like to thank SEA Tank Terminal for their trust and cooperation throughout the project, as well as everyone involved for their dedication, craftsmanship and commitment during the execution of this impressive project.
