EN 1090-2 EXC3

EN 1090-1 EXC3

For the fabrication of steel and aluminum structures, we are EN 1090-1 certified up to Execution Class 3, for complex and heavily loaded steel structures – including welding – with high safety requirements.

ISO 3834-2

ISO 3834-2

In addition to our EN 1090-2 certification, we are certified according to ISO 3834-2. This means that our welding work meets the highest quality standards. Standards and guidelines

EN 14015

At Gpi Tanks XL, we design and build tanks in accordance with the NEN-EN 14015 standard – the European standard for atmospheric, vertically oriented, cylindrical storage tanks with a flat bottom.

Our expertise in this standard enables us to deliver safe and reliable tanks for a variety of liquids such as water, oil, and chemicals. We strictly adhere to the requirements regarding material use, welding procedures, geometry, and testing methods to ensure your tank meets the highest construction and operational standards.

API 650

Gpi Tanks XL is well-versed in the American API 650 standard – the global standard for large atmospheric storage tanks in the oil and (petro)chemical industries.

For international clients or projects where API standards are required, we can design and build tanks that fully comply with these requirements. Our expertise in this standard allows us to guarantee quality and safety, even on a global scale.

PGS 29, PGS 30 & PGS 31

When storing hazardous substances, compliance with the correct guidelines is crucial. We are well-versed in the PGS 29, PGS 30, and PGS 31 guidelines, which apply to the storage of flammable liquids, chemicals, and packaged hazardous substances, respectively.

We are happy to advise and support you in designing tanks and tank farms that comply with these safety guidelines and assist with the permitting and inspection process.

DIN 4119

For projects in Germany, we build tanks in accordance with DIN 4119, the national standard for flat-bottom storage tanks. We are thoroughly familiar with this standard and can deliver tanks that meet all German construction requirements.

Along with additional legislation such as the Water Resources Act (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz – WHG) and the Pressure Equipment Directive (DGRL), we can guide the entire design and approval process, including collaboration with TÜV for official acceptance.

EN 1993-4-2 (Eurocode 3)

We apply EN 1993-4-2, part of Eurocode 3, for the structural design of our storage tanks – particularly for projects where external loads such as wind, snow, or earthquakes are a factor.

Our engineers use this standard for precise strength and stability calculations, providing additional assurance in situations where structural safety is critical, such as with large-volume tanks or in high-risk environments.

BS 2654

For the UK market or international clients, we build tanks in accordance with the BS 2654 standard. This British standard is commonly used for vertically welded storage tanks in sectors such as oil, gas, and chemicals.

Gpi Tanks XL has experience with this standard and translates the specifications into a solid design and precise execution – with a focus on both technical requirements and local regulations.
