Gpi Tanks XL constructs stainless steel tanks. We take care of the whole process from start to finish, beginning with design by our own engineers, followed by production, transport and installation. At our XL production location, we construct tanks with capacities of max. 5000 m3 and on site with diameters and heights up to 30 metres. Our location in Groot-Ammers is located adjacent to the river, so we can ship tanks directly using the waterways.
In his quest for an inspiring working environment, Fons Geurts founded Gpi in 1994. A few months later, one of his old friends graduated from technical college. The aim was to create somewhere where collaboration, connection and enthusiasm could be central to everything, and it was a formula that proved successful. Some 25 years later, our company employs 170 people. Gpi Tanks XL is part of the Gpi Group, a family of companies that includes Gpi Tanks Netherlands, BMN (pickling plant), Gpi De Gouwe Process Equipment and Gpi Tanks Poland.
Fred Boere (CEO) and Arno Rodenburg (COO) are at the helm of the company.
Fred joined the company in 1996 as its sixth employee, and was a welder, constructor and production leader. He also worked in the office, coordinating projects and creating designs. He later moved on to become joint foreman before moving on to become managing director, technical director and, ultimately, general director, a post he still occupies today.
He is eager to share the wide-ranging knowledge and experience that he has gained with others to ensure growth and development.

Arno started in 2000 as a welder and moved through the ranks to become foreman, production manager and, ultimately, operational technical director, his current position.

We design and drawn with our own software TankDesign, something which is unique in the market. We have developed this program with our own team of developers and it allows our engineers to work closely with clients to produce drawings that are perfectly matched to their products. They give clients an image of the product from the very outset before being elaborated in detail in later phases. We subject TankDesign to continuous development so that our engineers can continue to work as efficiently as possible.
By working to the Lean management philosophy, we can safeguard the efficiency of our processes. We optimise our plans and deploy our people in the roles where they can best do justice to their skills and experience and collaborate most effectively. The ultimate aim is always to add value for our clients.
