Gpi Tanks XL started the construction of the first new stainless steel storage tank at Chemie Park Delfzijl this month on behalf of JPB Logistics. JPB Logistics has consciously opted for this high-quality tank to meet current needs and anticipate future requirements.
In 2030 the Eemsdelta will be an important Green seaport and industrial region of the Northern Netherlands. The chemical and recycling industry is of international significance for Groningen Seaports. JPB is significantly expanding its storage capacity at Chemie Park Delfzijl with eight tanks of 3500m3 each. In total, 28,000 m 3 of storage capacity will be added to the Chemie Park. The new tanks are being built in phases, in pairs.
“The demand is huge. Several customers have already shown concrete interest and the first tanks have actually already been rented out,” says Stephan Oldenburger, commercial director at JPB Logistics. The first tanks are expected to be ready in July 2022. “In order to be as flexible as possible for future requests, we choose to build the tanks from high-quality material. An additional advantage for the customer is that we can take into account any specific wishes with regard to the tanks during construction.”
